From Nashville to Dashville

Goodbye USA, Hello again AUS!
Nashville always steals my heart away, but Dashville Festival was a new found love! We played to the most adoring crowd and adored them right back!
Dashville Mercedes
The sunset round each day was a highlight, artists covering their fave songs and off the cuff collaborations were a plenty!

Aside from stealing my new friends from Austin the Lonesome Heroes and old friends All Our Exes Live in Texas for a last minute rendition of Gillian Welch’s “Miss Ohio” … Singing Lucindas “Fruits Of My Labour” with Melody Pool was an all time high!

USA Tour Wrap!

USA tour wrap
The hardest part of this job is to constantly leave places and people you meet and love behind! But the best part of the job is encountering those people and places to begin with! Thanks to everyone who made the USA tour other worldly and super special.

Here we are performing at Music City Roots in Nashville TN with my beaut part Aussie part Nashville band!

Ruby Boots announced for Port Fairy Folk Festival

The 40th festival goals are in view as we kick off announcements this week and all remaining tickets go on sale. Forty festivals ago in December 1977, the festival came to town. It was literally on the back of a truck – a freewheeling cultural freedom ride of sorts. In 2016 we will celebrate the 40th event as the achievement of community, volunteers, music industry, artists and staff along with our passionate audience. Together we become one amazing festival gathering singing by the oceans of the south-west coast.

The festival will include over 100 international and national acts plus the children’s folk circus, the frInge program and much more. The festival is an all-ages, family friendly, community celebration of the “cultures, peoples, words and music” through folk, roots and global rhythms from across and beyond the borders.
